Safety
Vibond is built so that ending a connection costs you nothing. This page explains what the safety features actually guarantee — including where they stop.
Your code
Your Vibond Code can be photographed by anyone who can see your screen. That is expected: it is designed to be shown to people. What a copy gets someone is narrow — they can see a limited profile and send you one request, which you can decline.
If your code ends up somewhere you did not intend, you can pause it, or reset it to get a new one. Resetting stops the old code working immediately and everywhere. People you are already connected to are unaffected.
Disconnecting
Either person can disconnect at any time. It takes two taps, needs no explanation, and the other person is not told that you did it.
Blocking
Blocking someone stops them seeing your profile, scanning your code, messaging you, or sending you a request. They are never told that you blocked them, and it survives you resetting your code.
What blocking cannot do: it cannot stop someone creating a brand new account. If someone does that to get around a block, report them — repeated reports about the same person build a pattern a human can act on.
What Vibond will never do
- Show your precise location, or ask for it.
- Let anyone find you by name, email, or phone number.
- Tell someone that you viewed their profile, declined them, or disconnected.
- Show your surname, your employer, or your phone number.
Reporting
You can report someone from their profile, a request, or a conversation. Reports are reviewed by a person. Reporting also offers to block them at the same time.
